And then the LORD spoke...

To be very honest with you, I had no idea whether this blog would come into fruition.

Why are you doing this? Who would listen to you? Why are you not enough?

In the days leading up to today, I was questioning whether to even put this out there. The blog had already been made, posts were written, and a date was set. I had poured hours and hours, figuring out all the composition and design and planned what to write about. I wished to make this a safe space to openly and lavishly share conversations.

Though along the road and deep into the process of creating, I met a few friends. They promised not to stay long, they allured me to see the world, and conjured my thoughts. They introduced me to doubt and procrastination and loneliness. I questioned and questioned and questioned. Why are you doing this? Who would listen to you? Why are you not enough?

I deferred all rational understanding. But kept trying to succeed, I had set out a plan to execute it. Writing about hope. But feeling absolutely hopeless. Writing about light. But obscuring myself away from the light. Writing about inspiration. But depriving myself from feeling inspired. If you have met these figurative people before, you know that they only come to steal, kill and destroy (Jn 10:10).

The LORD spoke His word to me...

I went with this burden to the LORD. My soul cried out to be loved, to be filled, and for clarity. And then "The LORD spoke His word to me..." (Ezk 25:1). I had read this verse a thousand times throughout this book, but those words glowed with a new light and understanding. God has already spoken into your life, God has already reassured your doubt, God has already promised you life and a life to the abundance (Jn 10:10). And to me He had already blessed this venture, but in the lows of life I had forgotten that.

God has great plans for you and wants for you to succeed, but often we are distracted by the enemy. Someone who has adjacent views from that light. But I encourage you to remember the promises God has already spoken over your life, remember your great worth, remember what God is doing in your life.
